Astrophotography Workshop

Join me on a magnificent experience as I take you to some of the most amazing rock formations on the South Coast of NSW. Kiama is a gold mine for landscape and astrophotography with countless compositions. Astrophotography can be quite daunting and appear to be extremely technical, but with careful and easy to understand instruction, I will guide you through the techniques allowing you to capture amazing images! These workshops have been formulated for anyone who has an interest in imaging the night sky at the beginner to amateur level. Only 4 positions are available due to the quality of instruction per person.

I will teach you how I personally shoot my best images with in-the-field instruction. This workshop will begin half an hour before the optimum time for the Milky Way to be in the best position, giving us plenty of time to settle in for the night, go over what we will be capturing and some scouting time. An email will be sent out with the details of the time and location 1-2 days before the workshop. We will cover what different apps I use, planning techniques to figure out where and when our target objects will be visible and in the optimum position for particular locations, multiple methods of exposing for the foreground, focusing in the dark and more. I will be giving an introduction to Star Tracking and a 25% off Post Processing session after the workshop to bring your images to life.
